Fresher’s Reception of the students of `21 batch and Farewell of outgoing graduate students of `17 batch of the department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) was held on 13 March at 05.30 pm at the Student Welfare Centre (SWC). Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Engr. Partha Protim Kundu, Head of Manufacturing, Rahimafrooz Batteries Ltd, Prof. Dr. Zahir Uddin Ahmed, Head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Motin, Director (Students Welfare) were present as the special Guests. Prof. Dr. Khandkar Aftab Hossain, President of ME Association presided over the ceremony. At the ceremony fresher’s students were received with flowers and crest handed over the graduate students. Among others teachers and students from ME department were present in the function.
