With solemn respect celebrate the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day 2021 was observed at KUET. Marking the day, On 09:00 AM, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain offered the floral wreaths in front of the sculpture of Bangabandhu at the "Bangabandhu Square" on behalf of the University. Next Teachers' Association, Director (Students’ Welfare), Officers Association, Provosts and students of different Residential Halls (Fazlul Haque Hall, Lalan Shah Hall, Khan Jahan Ali Hall, Dr. M.A. Rashid Hall, Rokeya Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall), Bangladesh Chattra League, Karmokarta Samity (Up-gradation), Karmachari Samiti (3rd Class), Karmachari Samiti (4th Class), Master Role Karmachari Samiti, Gourob'71 placed the floral wreaths at the memorial. On 17th March morning, the national flag was hoisted all important buildings and residential halls in the KUET campus.

At 10:00 AM, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain took part in the discussion meeting as the Chief Guest where Director (Students' Welfare) (In-charge), Prof. Dr. Ismail Saifullah presided over the program. After Asr prayer a milad-mahfil was arranged at the KUET central mosque for the salvation the departed soul of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
