A Team of Education Ministry and UGC visit the ongoing projects of KUET on 17 January 2013. Sarder Ilias Hossain, Chief (Planning), Ministry of Education, Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Assistant Chief, Ministry of Education and Abdur Rezzak, Director (Planning & Development), UGC were the team members. The team inspected every construction works and development activities of the project titled “Development of Public Universities” and other ongoing projects as well. The team visited the ongoing construction works and development activities of KUET Medical Center, Liberation War Sculpture, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and New Academic Building. Finding the construction works of the projects running very smoothly, the team became very satisfied. After their inspection of the projects the team, in a meeting, met with VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Director (cc), (planning & development) Md. Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan and Executive Engineer (cc) Md. Ikramul Haque. The team expressed their satisfaction over the development of construction works of the ongoing projects running at KUET and proposed to increase the estimated expenditure of the project from 3045 lakh to 3500 lakh Taka. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Alamgir thanked the team and hoped to have better contributions from the Ministry of Education and UGC for KUET.
