Inaugural Ceremony of two day long GPIT CSE Festival 2012 was held at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) on June 29, 2012. Festival started in the early morning with a grand colourful rally to mark the festival started and paraded the whole varsity campus led by the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir. After the rally, at the auditorium Prof. Alamgir inaugurated the festival as the Chief Guest. Head of the CSE Department, Prof. Dr. K M Azharul Hasan presided over the inaugural ceremony and delivered the welcome address. Prof. Dr. Ashraful Ghani Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of EEE, Prof. Dr. M M A Hashem, Consultant, BdREN, Mr. Munir Hasan, General Secretary, BdOSN, Mr. Rony Riad Rashid, Chief Commercial Officer, GPIT addressed as the Special Guests. Seminar, project show, poster exhibition, programming contest, friendly football match and a grand dinner etc. were the day long native attractions of the 1st day. Workshop, sudoku challenge, IT quize, seminar and prize given ceremony etc. were also held at the last day of the festival which was ended with a closing ceremony and the distribution of prizes among the winner of different events.
