Fresher’s Reception of newly admitted 1st year students of `15 batch and Farewell of outgoing graduate students of `11 batch of Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP) was held on 20 July, 2016 in the Auditorium at 5.30 PM. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbub Alam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Tarapada Bhowmick, Director(Students’ welfare) Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia were present as the special Guests. Head of URP Department Prof. Dr. Mostofa Sarowar presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony fresher’s students were received with flower and crest handed over the graduates students. Among others teachers, students of the Department were present the function.
