Saraswati Puja, the festival for worshiping Devi Saraswati, the Goddess of literature and culture of the Hindu community, observed on 25 January, 2015 at the Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) campus through socio-religious festivals and rituals. Hindu devotees, especially students and teachers of university celebrated the Saraswati Puja at the university auditorium premises, setting up colorful mandaps and placing the idol of the goddess with different types of sweet meets, fruits and other items and articles of handicrafts. Religious rituals, special prayer, Aroti, Bani Archana and cultural functions also held on this occasion. Prof. of the Dept. of IEM Subrata Talapatra, Asstt. Prof. of the Dept. of EEE Dr. Naruttam Kumar Roy, Asstt. Prof. of the Dept. of CSE Dr. Pintu Chandra Shil, Asstt. Prof. of the Dept. of ME Dipayan Mondal, Asstt. Prof. of the Dept. of Physics Sujit Kumar Shil,among other Lecturers Adhir Chandra Paul, Rajan Kumar Raha, Joy Sarkar, Sagar Ghos, Monika Gope, Pritom Kumar Mondal, Sumit Saha, Suman Halder, Ashis Barmon, Section Officer (PS to VC) Nimai Chandra Mistry, Section Officer Debashis Mondall, Public Relations Officer (CC) Monoj Kumar Majumder were also present during the Puja.

The devotees prayed that everyone would come forward for the country’s overall development upholding the traditional communal harmony and fraternity in the society.
