Welcome to the personal website of Pranto Karua. Pranto Karua is serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He started his career as a Lecturer at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in July, 2019 after receiving B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering degree from the same university. Alongside the profession, he has completed the M.Sc. He is involved with multiple theory and sessional courses at the undergraduate level including Basic Mechanical Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and so on. His current research is focused on 3D-printed cellular structures, auxetic metamaterial, additive manufacturing, fiber-reinforced composites, lightweight building materials and sandwich panels made of composite materials. Additionally, he possesses expertise in designing and manufacturing load-bearing structures, testing various mechanical and thermal properties of composites, and also in writing technical reports. He has published research papers in several impactful journals and international conferences throughout his career.
