Assalamu Alaikum, and a warm welcome to all, to my web profile. I am Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain, and I have acquired Ph.D. in Textile Manufacturing from the University of Malaya(59 in QS World University Ranking), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Previous to that, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have more than 24 years of Academic, Research, and professional experience in the arena of Textile and Apparel as from Textile Processing to Apparel Manufacturing. In addition, I have completed a training program on Pedagogy, Outcome Based Teaching Learning (OBTL), Effective Class Management, Teaching-Learning, Research & Extension, Student Engagement, and Assessment organized by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Likewise, I have local and international training in Textile production, quality control, testing, and product development in different countries. I have been teaching at the undergraduate level in the department of Textile Engineering in KUET, Bangladesh. In the meantime, I have published 18 Journal Articles in peer-reviewed reputed international Journals, of which 13 are Web of Science(WoS) and Scopus Indexed, and presented 3 conference papers at international conferences. My research interest includes Coloration Technology, Smart and Functional Textile, Nanotechnology, Composite Manufacturing and Application of Fuzzy Logic (FL), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Taguchi Approach in Textile for optimization and modeling of Textile process and properties. My career objective as an academician and industry expert is to introduce Outcome-Based Teaching and Learning (OBTL) through Effective Class Management, Student Engagement, and Assessment for producing highly dynamic, versatile, creative, and skilled human resources for export-oriented Textiles and RMG industries, fashion and design houses and allied fields in the home and abroad. I am a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and a Life member (LM-1042) of the Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists, Bangladesh (ITETB).
