Through the introduction of innovative undergraduate and graduate programs, the Faculty of Civil engineering has maintained its long-standing reputation for excellence in education and research, both nationally and internationally. Our engineering, industrial design and basic technology programs provide you with the best possible education that will prepare you for career success in industry, government and various sectors of the economy. Some of you may continue on to graduate studies to pursue careers in academia or research institutions.

Our undergraduate curriculum has a long tradition of providing a firm ground in engineering fundamentals and design. We offer Bachelor’s Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering and bachelor’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning. We also offer Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Our faculty members are rigorously trained, experienced in the respective fields. They take teaching to heart as well as conduct advanced research. Most of our faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized, as evident by being elected fellows or other honorary positions in their respective fields. Our students pursue enriched educational programs that prepare them to meet the challenges of the global technological society. They are engaged in activities that span boundaries beyond traditional disciplines and provide experiences in the interconnected processes of discovery, engineering innovation and enterprise.
