Nushrat Naushin completed her B.Sc in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Besides her academic activities she was a part of the governing body of the Material Advantage BUET Chapter, the local chapter of http://materialadvantage.org/ . During her activity period she submitted two annual reports on behalf of the chapter. She was one of the organizers of Materials Carnival 2018 arranged by the Department of MME, BUET. She was also an organizer of the Inter University Poster Presentation and Inter College STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) Olympiad arranged by Material Advantage BUET Chapter in July 2018. She conducted her thesis along with a fellow classmate on the 'Modification of Electrical and Magnetic Properties of Single and Multi- Doped Bismuth Ferrite using Ba, Ca, Sr dopants.' Along with her thesis topic she has interest in the concept of High Entropy Materials, biomaterials, Shape memory materials etc. She is an associate member of ACerS, ASM International and AIST.
