New year, new books for the students of class one to nine "Textbook Festival 2023" as a part of countrywide free textbooks distribution program held at Khulna Engineering University School & Unmesh Govt. Primary School on 01 January at 10:30 am. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder distributed new free textbook among the students as the Chief Guest. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder urged the students to study hard because the fortune of Bangladesh depends on their success. The Orientation Program of newly admitted 1st year BSc Eng, BURP & BArch students of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) of 2021-2022 session held on December 29, 2022 at the Student Welfare Centre (SWC) of the university. Three days long 7th International Conference on Mechanical, Industrial and Energy Engineering (ICMIEE-2022) was held at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) on 22-24 December, 2022. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of KUET organized the conference with the objective of ICMIEE to present the latest researches and results of scientists (Preferred students, PhD students, Post Graduate students, Faculties and Researchers). On 22 December at 09:30 am in the Inaugural Session Former Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) & Former Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Ehsanul Haque was addressed as the Chief Guest. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder was addressed as the Chief Patron. Pro-Vice Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia participated in the Conference as Special Guest. Welcome Speech was delivered by the Chairman of ICMIEE 2022 Prof. Dr. A. N. M. Mizanur Rahman and Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Secretary of ICMIEE 2022 Prof. Dr. Zahir Uddin Ahmed. Prof. Dr. Khandkar Aftab Hossain, Chair, Technical Committee and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ilias Inam, Secretary, Technical Committee also dalivered Speech in the Inaugural Session. Approximately 300 eminent scientists, engineers, researchers and scholars from different universities from home and abroad participated in the conference. A total number of 107 technical papers, 4 Key-note lectures, in 17 parallel technical sessions where research scholars, experts, engineers, professionals of related field exchanged views among themselves.

The main objective of ICMIEE 2022 was to create an effective platform for researchers and technical experts to share their recent ideas, innovations and problem solving techniques in the vast areas of Mechanical, Industrial and Energy Engineering. It was the great opportunity for both researchers and industrial communities to meet, discuss and share their research outcomes in the field of Mechanical, Industrial, Energy, Leather, Textile, Mechatronics and Chemical Engineering.

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated the Victory Day on December 16, 2022 by paying utmost respect to the country's most illustrious sons who were brutally killed by the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators in the nine-month bloody war with Pakistan in 1971. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder and Pro-Vice Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia placed floral wreaths on Liberation Sculpture "Durbar Bangla" on behalf of the University. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) observed Martyred Intellectuals Day on December 14, 2022 by paying respect to the country's most illustrious sons who were brutally killed by the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators in an effort to rid the country of its intelligentsia just two days before the final victory in the nine-month bloody war with Pakistan in 1971.

KUET took elaborate programs to observe the day in a befitting manner. Black flags were hoisted and the national flag flew at half-mast atop all important buildings at early in the morning. Later at 10:30 am. teachers, officers, students and employees gathered and brought out a procession led by the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder.

A 2-days long workshop on Networking Basics and Campus Network Design was held on 9 & 10 December 2022 in the Distance Learning Theater of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). The workshop was jointly organized by the Central Computer Center (CCC) of KUET and the Department of CSIT of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) under the European Union co-funded project: Strengthen the Asi@Connect Female Network Engineer (SAFE): Capacity Development Program for NREN TechGirl and Future IT-Girl (Phase-2). The main objective of the program is ICT capacity development of female students & fresh graduates and strengthening their motivation in networking careers. More than 60 students and professionals from 6 higher educational institutes of southern region of Bangladesh (KUET, Khulna University, Islamic University, PSTU, Jashore University of Science and Technology, North Western University Khulna, Northern University of Business and Technology, Khanjahan Ali College of Science & Technology) participated in the hands-on training program.

Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) observed the 102nd birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2022 by holding extensive programmes on 17 March 2022. The recitation of the Holy Quran was concluded at 6:10 AM on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 

On the occasion, The Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain paid tributes to Father of the Nation by placing wreaths at the sculpture of Bangabandhu at “Bangabandhu Square” in Campus at 9:00 AM along with Deans, Registrar, Institute Directors, Heads of Departments, Directors, Hall Provosts and High Officials. After that, Teachers Association, Director (Students Welfare), Officers Association, Fazlul Haque Hall, Lalan Shah Hall, Khan Jahan Ali Hall, Dr. M. A. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has celebrated its 18th Founding Anniversary and the "University Day 2021" on 01 September 2021, maintaining the health safety guidelines amid the corona pandemic. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain inaugurated the university day program as the Chief Guest by hoisting the National Flag and releasing the colorful balloons. Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) observed the 46th martyrdom anniversary of the greatest Bengali for all time, the Architect of Independent Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day on August 15, 2021 with due solemnity and the highest respect. Marking the day, early in the morning, the National Flag was flown at half-mast and black flag was flown at the administrative building, Vice-Chancellor's Banglow and all the residential halls of student. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated Independence & National day of Bangladesh on March 26, 2021 by paying respect to the country’s most illustrious sons who were brutally killed by the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators in the nine-month bloody war with Pakistan in 1971.
