Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) observed the 102nd birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2022 by holding extensive programmes on 17 March 2022. The recitation of the Holy Quran was concluded at 6:10 AM on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman 

On the occasion, The Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain paid tributes to Father of the Nation by placing wreaths at the sculpture of Bangabandhu at “Bangabandhu Square” in Campus at 9:00 AM along with Deans, Registrar, Institute Directors, Heads of Departments, Directors, Hall Provosts and High Officials. After that, Teachers Association, Director (Students Welfare), Officers Association, Fazlul Haque Hall, Lalan Shah Hall, Khan Jahan Ali Hall, Dr. M. A. Rashid Hall, Rokeya Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, Bangladesh Chhatra League KUET Branch, Officers Association, Employees Association (Class III), Employees Association (Class IV), Master Roll Employees Association, Gaurab 71 and KUET Schools paid tribute by placing wreaths at the sculpture of Bangabandhu. 

Later, a Discussion Meeting was held at 9:30 AM at the University Auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was participated in the discussion as the Chief Guest while Director (Student Welfare) Prof. Dr. Ismail Saifullah was presided over the discussion meeting. A Joyful Rally was also held at 08:45 AMwith the participation of teachers and students of KUET Schools which was led by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain. Various aspects of the life style of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and cultural program related to the daywere held at 10:30 AM. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain distributed prize among the winners in the function. 

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day 2022, various associations and organizations including the Teachers Association of KUET carried out various programs. 

Besides, after Asr prayer Doa Mahfil was also held at the Central Mosque of the University on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) honor and gave a warm reception to the heroic freedom fighters on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Independence. The Orientation Program of newly admitted 1st year BSc Eng, BURP & BArch students of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) of 2020-2021 session held on March 03, 2022 at the Student Welfare Centre (SWC) of the university. The newly admitted students and their guardians were informed about the academic procedures, rules and regulations including the registration process, examination systems, other academic matters, disciplines and co-curricular activities of KUET. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was present there as Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of the best use of knowledge that can overcome all obstacles in spite of having some limitations of infrastructures and other recourses in the university. Vice-Chancellor also emphasized to maintain the sincerity and discipline of the students while their stay and study at KUET. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has celebrated its 18th Founding Anniversary and the "University Day 2021" on 01 September 2021, maintaining the health safety guidelines amid the corona pandemic. The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain inaugurated the university day program as the Chief Guest by hoisting the National Flag and releasing the colorful balloons. Marking the day, early in the morning, the National Flag was flown at half-mast and black flag was flown at the administrative building, Vice-Chancellor's Banglow and all the residential halls of student. Three days long 6th International Conference on Mechanical, Industrial and Energy Engineering (ICMIEE-2020) was held at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) on 19-21 December, 2020. Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of KUET organized the conference with the objective of ICMIEE to present the latest researches and results of scientists (Preferred students, PhD students, Post Graduate students, Faculties and Researchers). On 19 December at 09:30 a.m. in the Inaugural Session Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahidullah was addressed as the Chief Guest (Online). Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was addressed as the Chief Patron. Welcome Speech was delivered by the Chairman of ICMIEE 2020 Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ariful Islam and Vote of Thanks was delivered by the Secretary of ICMIEE 2020 Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia. Approximately 200 eminent scientists, engineers, researchers and scholars from different universities from home and abroad participated in the conference. A total number of 129technical papers, 11 Key-note Lectures, in 26 parallel technical sessions where research scholars, experts, engineers, professionals of related field exchanged views among themselves.

The main objective of ICMIEE 2020 was to create an effective platform for researchers and technical experts to share their recent ideas, innovations and problem solving techniques in the vast areas of Mechanical, Industrial and Energy Engineering. It was the great opportunity for both researchers and industrial communities to meet, discuss and share their research outcomes in the field of Mechanical, Industrial, Energy, Leather, Textile, Mechatronics and Chemical Engineering.

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated the Victory Day on December 16, 2020 by paying the utmost respect to the country’s most illustrious and heroic sons who were brutally assassinated by the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators in the nine-month long liberation war against Pakistan in 1971. KUET arranged a day-long program to observe the day in a befitting manner. On 16 December, the national flag was hoisted in front of all important buildings at early in the morning. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has donated the financial aid equivalent to one-day salary of its Teachers, Officers and Staffs to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund in order to help the very poor people of the country due to the Covid-19 (Novel Corona Virus) pandemic. On behalf of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain, Registrar of KUET Mr. G. M. Shahidul Alam handed over the donation through a check worth TK. 10,00,000/= (Taka Ten Lakh only) to the Deputy Commissioner of Khulna, Mr. Mohammad Helal Hossain on September 22, 2020 at 11 AM in the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Khulna, Bangladesh. In a separate note, KUET Vice-Chancellor thanked all the Teachers, Officers and Staffs of KUET for their generous support and contribution to this donation.

Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has celebrated its 17th Founding Anniversary and the "University Day 2020" on 01 September 2020, maintaining the health safety guidelines amid the corona pandemic.
