A three-day long International Conference on Electrical Information and Communication Technology (EICT 2019) held at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) on 20-22 December, 2019. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), KUET.

Honorable Senior Secretary of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, N M Zeaul Alam PAA inaugurated the conference as the Chief Guest on 20 December at 10 am at the Student Welfare Center (SWC) of KUET. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was present as the Chief Patron of EICT 2019. Organizing Chair of EICT 2019, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad presided over the inaugural session. Special Guest, Chair of IEEE BDS & Prof. of BUET, Dr. Celia Shahnaz; Secretary of the conference organizing committee, Prof. Dr. Monir Hossen were present at the inaugural session.

A number of key note papers were presented in the key note session. Key note papers were presented by Prof. Dr. Muhammad H. Rashid of Florida Polytechnic University, USA; Prof. Dr. Masanori Hanawa of University of Yamanashi, Japan; Prof. Dr. Mukti M Rana of Delaware State University, USA; Dr. Nemai Chandra Karmakar of Monash University, Australia; Prof. Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh and Dr. Nazmul Siddique of Ulster University, United Kingdom.

The closing ceremony of the conference was held at night on 21 December. Honorable Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahidullah was present as the Chief Guest and Honorable Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was present as the Chief Patron at the closing ceremony. Special Guest, Prof. Dr. Bashudeb Chandra Ghosh, Department of EEE, KUET; Organizing Chair of EICT 2019, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad; Chair of IEEE BDS & Prof. of BUET, Dr. Celia Shahnaz; TPC Chair, Prof. Dr. K. M. Azharul Hasan; Technical Secretary of the conference, Prof. Dr. Md. Salah Uddin Yusuf were present at the closing ceremony.

Scientists, Engineers, Researchers and Scholars from different universities, Deans of different Faculties of KUET, Departmental Heads and Directors participated in the conference. All the guests and experts in their speech hoped that the conference would be able to share knowledge and experiences to develop new ideas through the use of new technologies.

Total 117 technical papers were selected from more than 374 research papers submitted from 18 countries around the world, which were presented in 20 technical sessions in the three days long conference and 3 best papers and 1 best poster were awarded.
