"High Definition Visual Computing and Multimedia Lab" inaugurated at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) founded by Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology. The inauguration ceremony was held on 3rd march, 2018 at 8:30 am at central computer centre organized by Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT). Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP, State Minister, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division was inaugurated the lab as chief guest. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Project Director (Joing Secretary) of Support to Development of Kaliakoir project (and others Hi-tech park) A N M Shofiqul Islam were present as special guests. Director of IICT Prof. Dr. Bashudeb Chandra Ghosh Presided over the function. This High Definition Visual Computing and Multimedia Lab is dedicated to both fundamental and applied research in the areas of Big Data, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Pattern Recognitation, Virtual Reality, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Imaging and Remote Sensing Data Analysis.
