  • Students urged to prepare them as future leaders with Liberation War spirit

  • With the theme of 'Let's have a dream', the Youth Summit-3 was held on 01 May Monday at the auditorium of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). The summit was held with an objective to help the students learn lessons from the life sketches of successful people of the country. Centre for Developing Management Excellence (CDME) organised the programme in association with KUET, Rotary Clubs and other organisations. The Daily Observer, Bangla Daily Amader Samoy and TV channel DBC are the media partners of the event. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir addressed the summit as chief guest while Al-Haj Mizanur Rahman Mizan MP (Khulna-2), Sales, Marketing and Management Specialist SAM Showket Hossain and Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Masud Ahmed was present as keynote speakers. Vice-Chancellor of North South University Professor Dr. Atiqul Islam, Managing Director of Dhaka WASA Engineer Taqsem A Khan, former MD of Karnaphuli Insurance Co. Ltd. Md. Hafizullah, Ex-MD of Desh Upodesh Ltd Architect Munirul Haque, Commissioner of Income Tax of Bangladesh F H Arif, Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqui, CEO of Assurance Development Ltd Engineer Md. Arifur Rahman and MD of Gazi Medical College Hospital Dr. Gazi Mizanur Rahman addressed the programme as guest speakers. The speakers urged the students to be committed to achieving their cherished goal and to maintain uncompromised attitude. The students should develop themselves as future leaders and march forward the country in the spirit of the Liberation War, they said. The persons, who do not dream any dream, do not get success, the speakers said, adding that everyone having skill, courage, and perseverance can reach his/her cherished goal. The chief guest asked the students to be worthy citizens of the country and devote themselves in building a happy, prosperous, and an enlightened nation in the spirit of the Liberation War. A good number of students, teachers, and employees of KUET and other educational institutions attended the summit.
