Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) observed the Genocide Day in a befitting manner on the University campus. On 25 March at 07 PM teachers, students, officers and employees gathered and brought out a procession of candle light led by the VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir to remember March 25, 1971, the darkest night in the history of Bangladesh. Later a discussion meeting held at the premises of “Shaheed Minar” to mark the Genocide Day. VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir delivered speech as Chief Guest. Among other Dean of ME Faculty Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder, President of Teachers Association Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Registrar (in-charge) G M Shahidul Alam, President of Bangladesh Chattra Legue, KUET Shafayat Hossain Nayan delivered their speech. Director (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia presided over the program.
