Tree plantation program held at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) campus on Saturday, 4 June, 2016. Tree Plantation Committee arranged the tree plantation program in the campus. Vice-chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir inaugurated the program with planting a tree in the campus. Director (P&D) Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Director (SW) Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia, Register of Mr. Md. Abdur Rouf, Provost of Lalan Shah Hall Dr. Pallab Kumar Choudhury, Assistant Professor of CSE Dr. G G Md. Nawaz Ali, Chairman of Tree Plantation Committee, also the librarian Mr. Md. Akkas Uddin Pathan were present in the programme. Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Alamgir in his inaugural speech called for planting more trees at homesteads, roadsides and other open spaces during the monsoon to protect environment from the impact of climate change. Terming trees as an inseparable part of life and livelihood and also the best friends of the people.
