The 91th Birth Day and the Nation Children Day, 17 March 2011, was observed in KUET in a very festive mood. At the beginning of the day, the Vice-Chancellor of the KUET observed silence after placing the wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman placed at the Shaheed Minar of KUET Campus. The teachers, officers, employees, students and other organizations as well as the common people pay homage to Bangabandhu. The students of the three school of KUET also brought out a jubilant procession in the campus leaded by the Vice-Chancellor of KUET. Later a discussion meeting followed by a brief cultural program was held at KUET Auditorium. Prof. Alamgir briefly narrated the colorful life sketch of Bangabandhu and his sacrifice for the birth of this country and dignity of this nation and urged all to work hard to materialize the dream of him through the development of Sonar Bangla.
