Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) observed With solemn respect and honour the 39th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day on 15 august, 2014. At 10:30 a.m. KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammed Alamgir placed floral wreath on behalf of the University at the portrait of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of Administrative Building of KUET.

On 15 august morning Black flags were hoisted and the national flag flew at half-mast atop all important buildings in the campus. After Asr prayer a milad-mahfil was arranged at the KUET central mosque to pray for the departed soul of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
