Teachers, Officers, Staffs and Students of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) formed a Human Chain in front of the KUET auditorium at 26 June, 2014, marking the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Dean of Civil Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Head of Industrial Engineering & Management (IEM) Department Prof. Dr. Tarapada Bhowmick, Director (Students’ Welfare) Prof. Dr. Osman Gani, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rifat Sultana Shelly, Mr. Mohor Ranjan Pall, Superintendent, Drug Administration, Khulna and among the student Antu, Department of Leather Engineering spoke on the occasion.

Later, all guests, participants and teachers, students, officers, employees of KUET brought out a rally that was paraded the whole versity campus led by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alamgir to create awareness among the people about the adverse impact of the drug abuse.
