A tea party arranged by the administration of KUET for the retirement of professor of mechanical engineering department Dr. Naseem Ahmed on May 8, 2014 at 3 pm. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir presided over the function. Faculty deans, directors, departmental heads, provosts and assistant provosts of the hall, registrar and other high official of KUET attended the function. In the meantime, a crest handed over to the departing Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmed and adorned him a sash (uttoriyo) by VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir.

Earlier, a farewell ceremony also arranged by the mechanical engineering department at 12 pm. VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir present as the chief guest while head of mechanical engineering department Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ariful Islam in the chair. Dean (in charge) of mechanical engineering faculty Prof. Dr. Khandkar Aftab Hossain present as the special Guest at the ceremony.

Moreover, in the auditorium on 11 May, 2014 at 5 pm. mechanical engineering association, also arranged a farewell ceremony for the Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahmed. VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir present as the chief guest while head of mechanical engineering department Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ariful Islam in a chair. Dean of mechanical engineering faculty Prof. Dr. Md. Syed Ali Molla present as the special Guest at the ceremony. In the meantime, a crest, bunch of flower and a souvenir handed over to the departing Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmed by the students of mechanical engineering department.
