- New Institute "Institute of Disaster Management" starts at KUET

A new Institute entitled as “Institute of Disaster Management (IDM)” has opened at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) in its letter (memo no. UGC/Admin/publ.univ./450(part-3)/03 dated. 11/11/2013) gave this permission. Following this, the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir thanked and expressed his gratitude to the UGC & MoE for giving permission to open this Institute. In this issue, a few months ago while the higher Inspection teams from UGC were visiting this University then the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alamgir informed them the necessary of opening this Institute and this university has already all infrastructures to run this Institute properly. Moreover it already approved in the university Organogram to opening this institute from july 2013, he also added.
