The admission test for the first year B.Sc. Engineering and BURP course under the academic session 2012-2013 of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) was held on December 9, 2012. A total of 5546 candidates against 725 seats participated in the test. The test was held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at KUET campus and its adjacent Khulna Engineering University School, Khanabari Girls’ High school, Teachers Training College, Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute (HSTTI), Laboratory High school, Technical Training Center, Womens’ Technical Training Center. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, along with Admission Test Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. A N M Mizanur Rahman visited different centers during the examination. In addition to disciplinary committees of KUET, members of Law Enforcement Agencies were vigilant to ensure discipline on the campus and other examination centers to hold the admission test peacefully. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alamgir thanks everybody related to the admission test for the successful and peaceful examination. The result will be published on November 15. The result of the admission test will be available on the university notice board and website (www.kuet.ac.bd or www.admission-kuet.ac.bd)

This is to mention that this year 60 more students will be admitted additionally since a new Department named as ‘Textile Engineering’ has been introduced.
