"Spark the Imagination" - chanting this slogan a two-day long “Inter University Tech Fiesta ’12” was held successfully at KUET campus on 28 and 29 September, 2012. The festival took place at the University Auditorium organized by EEE Association of KUET. Hon’ble Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mr. Talukdar Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the festival as the Chief Guest by releasing a handful coloured balloons in front of the Auditorium at 8:00 a.m.  while VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir present there as the Guest of Honour. President of EEE Association and the Convenor of the festival Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah delivered the welcome speech. Later, all guests, participants and teachers, students, officers, employees of KUET brought out a colourful rally that was paraded the whole varsity campus led by the City Mayor Talukdar Abdul Khaleque and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alamgir. More than two hundred students from country’s 28 public and private universities participated in the festival. Promotion & Slide Show, Hardware Project Show, Specified Problem Implementation, Project Idea & Presentation, Movie Show etc. were the attractions of the 1st Day. Software Project Show, IT Quiz Contest, Suduku Contest, Seminar were also held at the Final Day of the festival. KUET have been awarded as the Champion in the event of Hardware Project Show and Software Project Show, IT Quiz Contest, Suduku Contest, while RUET and AIDB have been awarded as the Champion, respectively, in the event of Project Idea & Presentation and Specified Problem Implementation. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alamgir awarded prizes among the winners as the Chief Guest at the prizing giving ceremony of the festival held on 29^th September Saturday at 4:30 p.m.. Prof. Dr. Ashraful Ghani Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of EEE, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad, Head, Dept. of EEE, Prof. Dr. M.M.A. Hashem, Dept. of CSE, Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Dept. of EEE, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rafiq, Dept. of EEE, Mr. Md. Helal Uddin, Country Service Engineer, ABB Ltd. were also present as the Special Guests. President of EEE Association and the Convener of the festival Prof. Dr. Md. Nurunnabi Mollah Presided over the programs. The speakers of the festival closing ceremony hopefully expected that this festival will help the participants to complete with the technical world. On this national program participants can share and develop their ideas. A national wide recognition will be provided and projects of standard quality will have the opportunity to share in marketing sectors. All the participants expressed their desire to convert this event into international one in the future.
