Rokeya hall of KUET, at its premises, A farewell programme for the outgoing students of ‘07 batch of the hall was held on Friday, June 15, 2012. Reception programme of the new provost Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abu Yousuf and farewell to the outgoing provost Prof. Dr. Mohammad Arif Hossain of the hall was also held at the same function. KUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammed Alamgir as chief guest said that the new students should groom themselves as competent citizens by engaging in extra curricular and creative activities side by side with their regular academic feat.The outgoing students can enhance the reputation of the university through playing effective roles in their work places, he added. Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Prof Dr A N M Mizanur Rahman and Director (in-charge) of Students’ Welfare Dr Md Harunur Rashid were the special guests. New provost of Lalan Shah Hall Dr. Mohammad Abu Yousuf presided over the function and made the closing remarks. Later, all the guests were attended dinner at the Rokeya hall. Various colourful cultural programme role by the residential student of Rokeya hall was also held at the end of the function. Wife of Vice-Chancellor Mrs. Meherunnesa Lata, Assistant Provost of Rokeya hall Mrs. Shuheli Shaila Ahmed, Teachers from different departments were attended the programme.
