A reception programme for the new students of ‘11 batch and farewell to outgoing students of ‘07 batch of Lalon Shah hall was held on 09 June, 2012. Reception programme of the new provost Dr. Md. Abdul Matin and farewell to the outgoing provost Dr. A R M Jamaluddin Jamali of the hall was also held at the same function. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, in which Lalan Shah hall Provost Dr. Md. Abdul Matin presided over the ceremony. Director (Students Welfare), in-charge Prof. Dr. Muhammad Harunur Rashid, Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering Prof. Dr. Md. Bazlar Rahman were present as special Guests on the occasion. At the ceremony fresher’s were received with flower and crest handed over the graduates by the Chief Guest Dr. Alamgir. He also handed over a crest and some gifts to outgoing Provost Dr. A R M Jamaluddin Jamali. Later, all guests are attend the annual dinner of the hall with all of the residential students. Among others all residential students of the hall, other related person were present there.
