Message From Head

Welcome to the Chemistry Department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). As a basic and fundamental subject, chemistry connects strongly with other fields such as biology, medicine, materials science, engineering, environmental sciences, physics, and mathematics. Because it deals with the creation of life, food, energy, and the inanimate objects we come into contact with on a daily basis, chemistry is usually referred to as the science of origin. The work of chemists includes the creation of novel materials for renewable energy sources, new drugs for the treatment of sickness, improved methods for understanding chemical mechanisms, and more specific techniques for controlling pollution. As a student in the Chemistry Program, you will learn to critically think with other scientists from many fields because chemistry is a broad subject. You will create new content while learning the foundational concepts. Students develop assurance and passion for achieving their goals because to the department's kind and encouraging approach. Through instruction and a dissertation or thesis based on supervised and published research in all disciplines of chemistry, the department grants M.S., M. Phil., and Ph.D. The Chemistry Department at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is one of the top and largest teaching and research departments in Bangladesh. It is made up of an active group of researchers who are at the leading edge of all knowledge creation and dissemination in order to connect with other fields. The majority of our faculty members have postdoctoral and doctoral research experience from abroad. Since chemistry is an enabling science, it must be at the core of every significant contemporary society concern. Our department offers students the chance to gain a solid foundation in a variety of chemistry-related subjects, including physical, analytical, organic, inorganic, biochemical, and theoretical chemistry. Through instruction and a dissertation or thesis based on supervised and published research in all disciplines of chemistry, the department grants M.S., M. Phil., and Ph.D. degrees. Our alumni gain fantastic jobs in a wide range of industries, including energy, medical, teaching, and learning, both at home and abroad.
