Mr. Md. Tareq Hossain Khondoker is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) at the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and is an expert in Construction Engineering and Management. He completed his M.Sc. in Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Alberta, Canada. Before that, he completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During M.Sc., Mr. Tareq served as Research Assistant at the Consortium for Engineered Trenchless Technologies, Canada for more than 2 years. He’s known for his work on Surface Profiling and Jacking Force for Guided Boring Method.

At KUET, Mr. Tareq carries out research on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Real-Time Structural Health Monitoring, Digital Twin, Sustainable Construction, Construction Waste Optimization, Construction Site Layout Optimization, Intelligent Decision Support Systems, Advanced Computerized Models, Trenchless Technology, Finite Element Method, etc. He has several research articles published in reputed journals and conferences. Mr. Tareq is very active in advising and supervising undergraduate students. He also enjoys travelling, photography, playing cricket, and fishing.
