Wahidur Rahman Sajal was born and raised in a countryside of Barisal, Bangladesh. In 2011, he completed his S.S.C. from Maluhar Wazedia Secondary School, Barisal with a talent pool scholarship and he passed the H.S.C. from Shahid Smrity College, Pirojpur in 2013 with a general scholarship. Being passionate about science and technology, he got himself admitted into Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. He graduated from the Department of "Materials and Metallurgical Engineering" of BUET with "Honors" in 2018. For his outstanding academic performance during undergraduate studies, he received Dean's List Award and University Merit Scholarship. He also completed his M.Sc. Engineering degree from the same department of BUET in 2022. Besides his academic activities, he was a part of the governing body of the "Material Advantage BUET Chapter", the local chapter of http://materialadvantage.org/. He was one of the organizers of Materials Carnival 2018 arranged by the Department of MME, BUET. He was also an organizer of the Inter University Poster Presentation and Inter College STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics) Olympiad arranged by "Material Advantage BUET Chapter" in July, 2018. After a few months of graduation from BUET, he started working as "Research Fellow" at BCSIR, Dhaka. In July, 2019, he is appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of "Materials Science and Engineering" of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. His research interest lies in Nanostructured Materials, Materials Recycling and Energy Materials, etc.

Materials Recycling
Extracted Iron and Zinc from electric arc furnace dust using a combination of pyro and hydrometallurgical route. Systematic thermodynamic caustic-roasting assessments of electric arc furnace dust using thermochemical FactSage software and caustic roasting-leaching experimental investigations were carried out to assess the suitability of this important hybrid process.
Nanostructured Materials
Systhesis Gold(Au) and Silver(Ag) nano particles by co-precipitation method. Immobilized AuNPs and AgNPs using the polydopamine as linker on the magnetic Graphene Oxide.
Then I studied its rapid catalysis and recyclability for waste water treatment.
