The inauguration ceremony of Inter-Hall Football Tournament 2019 of KUET held on 19 October 2019 at 09:30 AM at the University central play ground. Honorable Vice Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. Director (Students Welfare), Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder presided over the inauguration ceremony. After the inauguration ceremony, the opening match of the tournament between Dr. M. A. Rashid Hall and Lalan Shah Hall started, which was ended with 0-0 results. It is to be noted that the football tournament will be held between the six residential halls of the male students of this university and the final match between two halls with highest point obtained in the group match will be held on 03 November 2019.

The inauguration ceremony of Intra-KUET Cultural Competition 2019 also held on 19 October 2019 at 04:00 PM at the Student Welfare Center (SWC) of KUET. Director (Students Welfare), Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder inaugurated the ceremony. This year competition includes Singing, Dancing, Debating, Acting (both single and in a group), Essay Writing etc. Students from the seven residential halls of this university will take part in the cultural competition.

The admission test for academic session 2019-2020 of 1st year Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng), Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) course of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) held peacefully on 18 October 2019 from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A total of 10,066 admission seekers from 12,348 eligible candidates for the admission test attended to the entry test for 1,065 seats in sixteen Departments of KUET under BSc Eng., BURP and BArch programs.

Honorable Vice Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Chairman of admission test committee, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad visited the examination centers. The submission of online application for the first year Bachelor of (BSc) Engineering, Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses admission of 2019-20 academic session of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) started on 04 September 2019. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) celebrated its 16th founding anniversary and the “University Day 2019” on September 01, 2019 through a series of colorful events. Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) has celebrated the "Clean-Cleanliness day 2019" to create awareness and destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes responsible for spreading dengue. The program has been launched from 05 August at 10 A.M in front of the administrative building. Acting Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmad said, while inaugurating the programme, to build a dengue-free, clean and green campus. Dean of Mechanical Engineering (ME) Faculty Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ariful Islam, Head of ME Department Prof. Dr. Sobahan Mia, Registrar G M Shahidul Alam, Librarian and President of Tree Development Committee Md. Tree Plantation Week observed at KUET campus on 01 August, 2019.Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain has said “To protect us from natural disasters, green fence should be established, so a large number of trees should be planted. Since there is a shortage of forest areas in our country at present, we should overcome the shortages of trees in order to survive well”. Tree Development Committee of KUET organized this program as a part of the government’s country-wide tree plantation movement. Honorable Vice-chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain was present in the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest and formally opened the function at 10 A.M. in font of the administrative building. The program has been launched from 30 July at 5 P.M at the Student Welfare Center (SWC) premise.
