  • Basic Training Course (Signal) of Army Officers held at KUET
    July 19, 2017
  • Four days long basic training course (signal) for the officers of the Army of the country of Bangladesh, Srilanka, Sudan, Nepal & Palestine held at KUET. ECE Department of KUET organized this event form 16-19 July, 2017. On 19 July, the closing day of the event, VC of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir handed over a crest to the team leader of the Army and handed over certificate among the participants. Head of ECE Department Prof. Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain and other teachers of the ECE department were present in the event.


  • New Ambulance Inaugurated at KUET

  • A new Ambulance inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir on 19 July, 2017 at 12 PM in front of Administrative Building. In a short speech Vice-Chancellor thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan and all concerned related to get this Bus. Director (Planning & Development) Prof. Dr. Shibendra Shekher Sikder, Chairman of Transport Committee Prof. Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder, Chief Engineer ABM Mamunur Rashid, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rifat Sultana Shelley spoke on the occasion. Teachers, Officers, Staffs and Students of KUET were present in the function.


  • Technical Seminar held at BECM Department

  • As a part of Series-of-Seminar, the Department of Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM) was organized the 5th technical seminar on "Standard Practices on Project Management" on 18 July Tuesday at 3:00 PM- 4:30 PM at the Distance Learning Centre. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir was present the seminar as the Chief Guest. Dr. Kazi ABM Mohiuddin, Head, Dept. of BECM, Presided over the Seminar. Engr. Foyezur Rahman, 94315, RMP, PMP, PRINCE2 presented the technical session. Engineers, Planners, Architects, Academicians, Researchers, Officers & BECM students (4th year) were attended the seminar.


  • Temple will be constructed in Campus
    July 13, 2017
  • To construct a Temple in KUET campus architectural design presented by the architect in a meeting which was held at 13 July at 12 PM in the conference room of administrative building. Vice-Chancellor of KUET, Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir told, “I am happy for the taking initiative to construct a temple in KUET campus. It’s long desire from the traditional religions people of this University. He said ‘secularism’ had been dropped from the Constitution after the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. “The word ‘secularism’ doesn’t mean the absence of religion. It means the equal right of every religion,” he said. “Our Government have confirmed the rights of every religion in our country. He hoped people of all religions would live peacefully in our country. “We hope humanity will win,” he added. Teachers and Officers of KUET were present in the presentation.


  • Fresher's Reception & Farewell of URP Department held

  • Fresher’s Reception of the students of `16 batch and Farewell of outgoing graduate students of `12 batch of the department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP) was held on 12 July at 5:30 pm at the seminar room of IEM department. Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Dean of CE Faculty Prof. Dr. Md. Mahbub Alam was present as the Special Guest. Tusar Kanti Roy, Assistant Professor, Department of URP, was presided over the ceremony. At the ceremony fresher’s students were received with flowers and crest handed over the graduate students. Among others teachers and students of URP department were present in the function.


  • General Meeting of The IIC held
    July 12, 2017
  • General Meeting of The IIC-Innovation & Innovator Cell was held at the conference room of the university at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, 12 July 2017. Vice-Chancellor of KUET also Chairmen of The IIC Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir presided over the meeting. Deans, Directors of the institutes, Heads, the management team of The IIC, Expert Members of the IIC, members of Academic Council, Comptroller and related faculty members participated in the program. In the meeting the main discussed was Capacity Building, Technology Transfer and innovation Management Activities within KUET with the IIC-Innovation & Innovator Cell development in Bangladesh. CEO of IIC, KUET Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad was provided a brief presentation on the main agenda of the meeting.


  • Cheque of Stipend from "Arif Ahmed Scholarship Fund" handed over the KUET student

  • On 12 July, 2017 at 11 am Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, VC of KUET, handed over the cheque of stipend from the “Arif Ahmed Scholarship Fund” at the office of the Vice-Chancellor. The stipend cheque was handed over among the 1st Year student of EEE Department Md. Biplob Hossain. Among others dean of EEE faculty Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rafiq, Head of EEE Department Prof. Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Registrar G M Shahidul Alam were also present during the event.

Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir was present the seminar as the Chief Guest. Dr. Kazi ABM Mohiuddin, Head, Dept. of BECM, Presided over the Seminar. Dr. Md. Habibur Rahman Sobuz, Assistant Professor of BECM Department presented the technical session. Engineers, Planners, Architects, Academicians, Researchers & BECM students (4th year) were attended the seminar.


  • EPRT Team Visit KUET
    July 11, 2017
  • External Peer Review Team (EPRT) visit KUET for the evaluation of self-assessment activities of the Physics department of the university. The team members also meet the Vice-Chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir on 11 July 2017 at 12 pm at the office of the Vice-Chancellor. Prof. Dr. Sivali Sirimevan, Emeritus Professor, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Prof. Dr. Md. Kamrul Alam Khan, Department of Physics, Jagannath University and Prof. Dr. Md. Moazzem Hossain Miah, Department of Physics, Chittagong University were the EPRT team members. This time Prof. Dr. Quazi Sazzad Hossain, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, KUET also present there. The EPRT team also meet with the dean of faculties, director of Institutes, director and additional director of IQAC, teachers, registrar, librarian, chief medical officer, controller of examination, officers, former students, post-graduate students, staffs and they also visited scientific labs, student residential halls, gymnasium, auditorium, central computer center of the university from July 9 to July 11.


  • Week long Campaign against Drugs, Ragging, Smoking, Waste Littering driving in KUET

  • Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir, Vice Chancellor of KUET said that the drug could push the country towards destruction. He urged the students to stay away from drugs, and lead a safe and healthy life. He thanked the Students, Teachers, Officers & Staffs of the University for the co-operation of this campaign and raised their voices against drug abuse and illicit trafficking with the slogan “We Love People, We Love Nature, We Love KUET: “Say ‘No’ to Drugs, Ragging, Smoking & Waste Littering”. On 9 July at the 5th day of campaigning Vice-Chancellor has gone to different classes of CSE and BECM Department and urged all to come forward to save the young generation from the clutches of drug addiction. The campaign was aimed at creating awareness among the students about adverse impact of drug addiction, Ragging, Smoking & Waste Littering. Students also make committed with sign to abstain themselves from Drugs, Ragging, Smoking and Waste Littering while KUET VC campaigning the classes.

  • We Love People, We Love Nature, We Love KUET: "Say ‘No’ to Drugs, Ragging, Smoking, Waste Littering" with enchanting this slogan, anti-drug, anti-ragging, anti-smoking and anti-waste littering campaign started in KUET. On 03 July at 9 am at the first day of campaigning Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir has gone to different classes of CE, EEE and ME department and brief to the students about harmful effects of this. On campaign KUET VC urged to the students, "We must love people, Nature and KUET to stop Drugs, Ragging, Smoking and Waste Littering". He also says that our graduate not only equipped themselves in best technique but a person of strong determination with high ethical value. Students also make committed with sign to abstain themselves from Drugs, Ragging, Smoking and Waste Littering while KUET VC campaigning the classes.


  • Tree plantation week observed at KUET

  • The inauguration ceremony of “Tree Plantation Week 2017” held at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) campus on Wednesday, 21 June, 2017. Tree Development Committee of KUET organized this program as a part of the government’s country-wide tree plantation programme and will turn it into a social movement. Vice-chancellor of KUET Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir was present in the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest and formally opened the function at around 11 am on Wednesday. To mark the day a colorful procession was brought out from the administrative building that paraded all the campus led by the Vice-Chancellor. Later, Vice-Chancellor planted a tree in campus. Deans, Institute directors, heads, directors, teachers, students, officers, staffs were present in the program. President of Tree Development Committee of KUET, also the librarian Mr. Md. Akkas Uddin Pathan presided over the function. Vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammed Alamgir in his inaugural speech called for planting more trees at homesteads, roadsides and other open spaces during the monsoon to protect environment from the impact of climate change. Terming trees as an inseparable part of life and livelihood and also the best friends of the people. He also urged all to plant fruit bearing plants, timber and medicinal trees and nurture those like their own children.

  • Workshop on Sharing of Survey Results held at IEM Department

  • Day long `Second workshop: Sharing the Survey Results’ for the SA Program of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) department of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) held on 15 May, 2017.
