INTRODUCTION & OBJECTIVES
The Civil Engineering is the oldest and vast discipline that includes broader spectrum of Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Transportation and Water Resources Engineering. The 1st International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development (ICCESD-2012) is going to be organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), a leading technical university of Bangladesh, to make an ideal platform for the Engineers/Researchers for sharing and exchanging professional, technical and academic knowledge on any aspects of Civil Engineering disciplines.
The overall goal of the conference is to promote research and professional activities for sustainable development in different branches of Civil Engineering for facing the challenges of 21st century. The conference organizing committee would like to invite interested researchers/experts to send their contributions/papers to the conference and actively disseminate this announcement to potentially interested peoples/organizations.
The main objectives of ICCESD are outlined below:
- • To promote the exchange of scientific information among Researchers, Engineers, Developers, Academicians, Students and Practitioners working in home and abroad.
- • To make a common platform of exchanging ideas between Engineers and Academics from developed and developing countries of the world, which have different experiences in research, practice and standards.
- • To promote international collaboration on sustainable technology for all branches of Civil Engineering with respect to global warming.
- • To publish the outstanding works of Engineers, Researchers and Academicians in a special issue of the International Journal of Engineering Science (JES) published by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, KUET.
