Khaled M Morshed is with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from July 2007. Currently he is on higher study leave for his study at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia with the project titled “Antennas and RF front ends for beyond 4G mobile handsets with spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum use” supported by Intel Corporation and Macquarie University. Morshed is the recipient of International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS), Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES), and Intel Top-Up Scholarship for his PhD study. He received Master of Engineering from University of South Australia, Australia in 2014 and Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh in 2007. He received the University Gold Medal 2012, from KUET, Bangladesh, for the First Class First position with Honours at Undergraduate level. He received a grant of BDT 22862000.00 (USD 305000.00) under Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) funded by World Bank for the sub-project titled “Developing Research Facilities for Teachers and Students in ECE at KUET”, 2012 – 2014. He was awarded by the University of South Australia Presidents Scholarship and Institute for Telecommunications Research Scholarship, 2012 – 2014. He also received University Grants Commission (UGC) Bangladesh Scholarship in 2007, Technical Scholarship of KUET in 2003 – 2007, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Comilla Scholarship in 1999 – 2001, Feni Association Dhaka Scholarship in 1999 – 2007, and Feni District Council Scholarship in 2003 – 2007. Mr. Morshed is working in the areas of Smart Antennas, Antennas and Rectennas, Antenna for biomedical applications, RF circuits, and microwave theory and techniques. He is particularly interested in the development of miniaturized high performance Antennas for wireless devices and biomedical applications. He has published about 30 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He is a member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technique Society and is a life member of Bangladesh Electronic Society and a member of Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB).
