Undergraduate

Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering (B.Sc. Engg. ECE) curriculum covers the immense field of electronics and communication with all the fundamental viewpoints. This is a four years degree course of 6o intake and required to complete minimum i6o credits in 8 Terms.The curriculum is developed to include several major study areas so that students will be well prepared for work in the highly competitive electronics and communication engineering professions. The compulsory courses are designed to provide students with broad knowledge in electronics and communication engineering, which is necessary to satisfy the general needs of theindustrial sectors in home and abroad. The department offers a wide range of courses which address almost the entire arena covering Basic Electrical, Electronics, Signal Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Microwave, Image Processing, VLSI design, Mobile Communications, Optical Fiber Communications, Networking and the application of Fundamentals to diverse problems in ECE. The curriculum includes Laboratory works, industrial training and different field trips.

Postgraduate

In the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, postgraduate program covers a wide range of advance studies and research in the diverse fields of covering Electromagnetic Materials, Electronics for Telecommunication, Medical Imaging Systems, Biophotonics, Optical Communication Networks and others advances related aspects. The postgraduate program leads to the degree of Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (M.Sc. Eng.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). To be awarded a M.Sc. Eng. degree, a student should have to complete minimum 36 credit hours of which 9 credit hours of project work or 18 credit hours of thesis work in 3 Semesters.The degree requirements of Ph.D. are 6o credit hours of which a maximum of 45 credit hours of thesis works to be completed in 6 Semesters.
