I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE) Website. The department was established on 06 June 2018 at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) under the faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Professor Dr. Mihir Ranjan Halder was the founding head of this department and is now serving as Vice-chancellor of KUET. The department has highly competent faculty with good academic records, skills, and experience. Our focus is to provide world-class engineering education that hopes to produce diverse, globally-aware, and technically competent engineering graduates in the Chemical Engineering discipline to resolve the grand challenges at the industrial level with an eye toward environmental and social issues. The department possesses a variety of well-equipped laboratories, such as the Process Control Laboratory, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Heat Transfer Laboratory, Mass Transfer Laboratory, Corrosion Engineering Laboratory, Particle Technology Laboratory, Reaction Engineering
Laboratory, and Process Simulation Laboratory that help to familiarize students with industrial processes.
I strongly believe that this department will have a substantial impact on improving the industrial sector by providing skilled chemical professionals for the development of the country as well as for global requirements.
